How To Order Concrete
To determine the amount you need, take the length times the width (square foot) then divide by 80 which is standard 2x4 depth. The result will be the amount of concrete you’ll need. When calling ask for the concrete dispatcher who will ask for the 'yardage', 'sack' content (5 sack is a standard slab, 3000 PSI) and 'slump', which is how wet you want it. Slump at 4-5 inch is standard. You will be asked for a 'time' you would like, if it is open, however you will be offered a time that’s available as the next time slot on that days schedule. The physical address of the job is next with the nearest cross street. A good address and description on how to get there is very important. The last item is method of payment. COD by cash or check is most common, however you may pre-pay with cash or credit card. If you have previously established credit you only have to sign the invoice after the job has been completed. Now go ahead and make that call!
Ready-Mix Concrete
Full service ready-mix concrete delivered in small homeowner or large construction quantities. Minimum truck delivery is one yard plus a short-load fee. Delivery area includes a radius of approximately 40 miles from the Escalon area.
Mix designs can include additional sack content mixed with 3/4 rock, pea gravel, fiber, or a variety of Davis colors. Special additives i.e. retarder, calcium, or hot water, are also available. Prices are competitive with other surrounding concrete companies. For large projects over 150+ yards call for a price quote. Deliveries for early morning or special pours can be arranged. P & L guarantees a true old fashion concrete mix without the use of bulk enhancing additives. We also carry a large selection of concrete tools.
For local homeowners with a job too small for a truck delivery, a one yard “Cart-Away” is just what you’ll need for amounts from 1/4 to a full yard.
